1965-69 - Stena Danica (1) was the first vessel with Stena in the name. It was a lavish so-called middle-distance ferry which was built in 1965 at the shipyard Ateliers et Chantiers de la Seine-Maritime in France. She could take 1000 passengers and 120 cars, and weighed 2700 tons gross. Stena Danica (1) came into service June 24, 1965 in the Kattegat traffic.
